you choose a web design package through Digital Visual we will provide

often get asked if the 'FREE' webspace given to you buy your ISP can
be used for your website. The answer is usually YES - legally, but there
a number of drawbacks.

Using your ISP's 'free' webspace.

3. Registration with www.freenetname.co.uk
who provide a .co.uk domain name and hosting. Freenetname are currently
not accepting new subscribers so that they can provide good service
to their existing customers. The following information is for present
subscribers.

email address will always show www.yourname.co.uk

visitors from search engines will see your address in the status
bar and in the URL window

- You
must use the dial up number of the ISP to access your mail.
If you currently use another ISP to dial up this would mean
changing your dial up connection every time you want to collect
your mail
- Only
one account is available for each address
- You
must use the dial up service at lease once every two months
- The
domain name is owned by the ISP and only on loan for your use,
to transfer the domain onto a paid ISP with rented server space
will cost you around £100
- You
must register a .co.uk address. A .com or other domain names
are not permitted
